I finally got my 7200.2s upgraded to this (and the 818v3 to the latest FW also). It's been a few weeks and, I've had a chance to listen enough to form a firm opinion now. Must say I'm pretty thrilled.

On MQA material with the DSPs now rendering, I've found this is a huge upgrade. Having heard SEs a few times, yes, they do give even more, but that takes nothing away from the fact that my speakers now sound absolutely stunning with MQA and a big step up from previously, to my ears. Everything sounds very natural and, for want of a better word, real. The performance, in all its nuance, takes centre stage, as it should be.

Haven't tried using RC in Roon on MQA material now that's supported, mainly as things are so clean with MQA and EBA in the bass I haven't felt a great need thus far, but it's great to know it's now possible if needed.

Big thumbs up to HQ for continuing to add FW functionality and SQ, etc., much appreciated.
