For whatever reason gigabit-> 100megabit transitions in switches are tricky with UDP. Lots of ways for packets to end up on the floor it seems and some switches better than others
In other words, you need to connect everything into a switch (either the same switch or two "good" switches connected to each other via Ethernet) that you know works. This affects both playback and discovery. Frankly, plugging into a router, which is doing a lot more than a switch, may be asking for trouble with Meridian Sooloos gear.

UDP protocols over powerlines are notorious for badness
In other words, not recommended. And no guarantee whatsoever that your new powerline gear will work if your old powerline gear does.

I'd agree. My Antipodes is largely rock solid with the occasional drop of the ID41 card (although this is dependant on the version of Roon, as some seem more reliable than others).
Have you tried moving your Roon core to your Mac or PC ...
Hey chief. Yes I have and it’s the same. iMac as Core for a while and just the same. Different room. Different router. Etc.
Hope You’re well sir.

Very likely that your NAS is struggling. Running on a PC or Mac or NUC tends to be very stable.
8 core i7 QNAP TS871 with 16G of RAM.
It’s half asleep most of the time it’s doing such little work.
Same with iMac core.

I'm sure that Roon has gotten bigger and bigger over five years. The TS670Pro is a 3rd gen i3, 7 years old, dual core. My Roon is running on an AMD2700 8 core/16 thread machine with 32GB and an NVME SSD.
Also, how much would it cost to wire the house with CAT6? 2000UKP tops? Nothing beats wired, not even expensive professional routers.

How are all the devices connected, any Devolo plugs, WiFi connections, are you connecting devices to your router or to a network switch or both?
Everything now connected directly with Ethernet cables.

Insert a simple unmanaged network switch into the chain as per Joel's earlier suggestion.
Done - no difference.
