I recently swapped out a 568/3100 2.0 system in my living room for a Denon AVR-X2000/Wharfedale DX1 5.1 setup. Bearing in mind that we live in a terraced house, outright power was never a requirement and to be honest, neither was absolute fidelity either for that room.

The HDMI inputs on the Denon really simplified installation and operation. It always works, whereas something in the 568/3100 firmware meant it routinely needed to be power cycled to work which really matters given that the room is primarily used by the kids. The Audyssey made light work of the setup and corrected room modes, it's just so easy. The little speakers made the system footprint in the room very light and easy to add the rears and centre which even with the DSP33C I could never have accommodated before.

I honestly don't trust Denon's power amp stages to deliver their rated power having blown tweeters for the first time ever many years ago with a 3803 AV receiver but if you don't ask too much from the transformer, they can sound pretty decent.
