Both my ID41 and 218 updated OK last evening - it did take much longer than I had expected and the 218 did keep cycling within the Meridian Device Manager application. Even once the process had initiated with a given device, the boot state persisted for some time.
Probably everyone was hitting their servers at the same time, I don't know. I would suggest patience is required - I did not time the overall update cycle, probably upwards of 45 mins though.
The updates both took in the end and both ID41 and 218 seem to be working as expected post update - the new config screens are certainly very different than before.
Thanks Rick Managed to update ID41 in 808v6 with no issues this morning (really fast) apart from Windows security warnings, and log on details being out of date as I only use HP touch PC as replacement for old C15.

Upgraded my 218 fine this morning using a simple Windows 10 laptop connected on wifi to the same network as the 218. Got a few security warnings, ticked to allow all access and everything was working within the minute.
Did a little testing using the Auralic Aries G1, nothing unexpected but as a FYI for other Auralic users, my testing showed the following... (I have the G1 connected to the 218 via coaxial digital and then onto the DSP's via SpeakerLink)
1) If the Auralic is set to do the first MQA decode (apparently using its own method...) then the DSP speakers now still report an authenticated MQA file, useful if you prefer Auralic's own decode 2) If the Auralic parametric equaliser is switched on but no band filters applied then the DSP speakers now still report an authenticated MQA file 3) If band filters are applied the DSP stop reporting MQA and revert to MHR. Purpose of this test was to see if I could re-apply room correction filters established in the g61R while still getting an MQA stream, sadly not the case
Once test over I reverted to Auralic MQA pass through, parametric equaliser off.
Anyone done any testing yet with filters in Roon through an upgraded 218? I think I remember previously reading this should work?

If you're running a Mac you could always invest in parallels, I know that's not quite the point you're making, but it will at least allow you to proceed. www.parallels.com

Or download an ISO of Windows 10 and run Bootcamp on the Mac, all free, the copy of Windows does not need to be registered to use and the whole installation can be deleted when you have completed the update.
Surface Pro 7 w/Windows 10 on WiFi: ID41 / 215 / 218 recognised, but wouldn't update - the updater hung in a seemingly endless loop. Restarting the updater resulted in the devices disappearing & they wouldn't re-appear no matter what I did.
Desktop PC w/Windows 10 on LAN: All 3 devices immediately recognised, I selected one, a bit of clicking heard (in the other room) and now they all display version 216 - none display v218...?
