Couple of follow-ups as I work through things.

1. I have a pair of Chord Chameleons which came with my 506 in 1994. I now have a pair of Black Rhodium Opus interconnects as well. My assumption is that the best should be early in the chain. That implies Chord Chameleons between the 596 and the 551 and then the Opus (Opuses? Opi?) from 551 to 555 - is that the right way round?

I have found this Norstone Bergen 2 with manufacturer's datasheet. My budget has taken a bit of a hit, what with the recapping of my 3 500 units and Linn upgrade booked so don't really want to spend more. Any suggestions for an alternate at the same sort of £? I have spent some hours searching and reading and couldn't find a better option.
