I want to test a cable connecting PC to SpeakerLink (DSP5200SE) before using it for firmware update.
The cable is
Startech USB to Null Modem RS232 DB9 Serial DCE Adapter Cable with FTDI with DB9 to RJ45 to complete the connection to the SpeakerLink input of a master speaker.
I plan to use MConfig to test the connection before using WinFUP for firmware update. My question is can I do this with confidence that it won't damage the speaker? For example if the null modem is not correctly crossed-over?
