I’ve just got a lovely F80 care of SteveR. Excellent communication, packaging, unit and patience - given my 2 cancelled trips over the last couple of weeks! Cheers Steve.

Thanks to Bruce at CMB, I received the latest addition to $ystem 1. The 800v4 in Beautiful condition. Expertly packed and prepared as usual from Bruce.

Many thanks to ChrisSwain. I got a great deal from Chris for his G98DH and G68D with a partial PX for a G91.

A slightly more complicated trade with the G91 and a second box travelling south from the North of Scotland to be swapped for the other 2 units to travel North again.

We both got close to sense of humour failure when the return courier tried to collect a day early but all quickly sorted out and they arrived with me the day after collection instead of the more usual 48 hrs in transit.

I’d be very happy to deal with Chris again.

I just want to thank Rick from Audio Images for his steadfast assistance when my G61 power supply failed leading to it being declared to be beyond economic repair.

He negotiated a replacement G65 from Meridian for a good price.

This does exactly what it says on the tin and I'm well pleased.

Thanks to fellow HH Audioboy for the great deal and speedy shipping of the ID40.

I've just had 5 of my DSP5000 speakers upgraded by fellow HH Steve (swpnt). Steve had previously repaired my 800 Reference for me that just suddenly died. I recently bought a DSP5000 centre from Steve & he had upgraded/updated the caps & resistors. When I substituted my current DSP 5000c for his, there was an immediate sonic improvement with far more detail. After contacting Steve we agreed that he would upgrade the caps & resistors in my existing DSP5000s for me. I removed the backs (a relatively easy task if done with care in disconnecting the power supply, main speaker connection and display connections) and took them to him in the morning for upgrading. They were ready for me to collect later that day with the bag of old caps & resistors. Once re-assembled, the sonic performance is really quite amazing. Far more detail & a much better sound envelope with clearer placement of instruments & vocals. The sound of the strings on the cello in a track from Chic Corea "My Spanish Heart" is just stunning in comparison to the sound before the upgrade.
I can thoroughly recommend Steve to all fellow HHs should you decide to have any upgrade or repairs done to your Meridian equipment!

I just wanted to add my 10 pence worth by absolutely agreeing to your comments about fellow HH (swpnt) or Steve!

I originally sold Steve a piece of Meridian and since then we have stayed in touch with regards to various different topics regarding Meridian but I must say Steve is a complete gentleman and extremely knowledgable with Hi-Fi in general but certainly knows his Meridian gear!

He has been there for me and answered countless questions for me and is always helpful and gives 110% to everything he does!

You won’t meet a nicer or more helpful, honest HH!

This is an overdue shout out to Steve (SWPNT) who’s been amazing at helping me with my various legacy Meridian gear during the majority of this year.

He has serviced and upgraded my old D6000’s so they now accommodate (via a reversible mod back to original if you wish) 18 bit DSP boards. On top of this he has been incredibly accommodating and patient with my various questions and what seems of late, endless troubleshooting, including a loan of one of his own 500 series units. I know Steve’s office pretty well now and some of the cats too!

I know there are many very helpful and generous people on here and Steve is certainly one of them. If you need a reliable, knowledgeable, can do type of person to help you with your Meridian gear (and try him on non M kit too), I can’t recommend Steve highly enough - super!
