Hey everyone, just ran into a problem with my new system today, I'm not getting sound from my DSP3200's hooked up to an AC200 (worked yesterday). Here are the trouble shooting steps I tried to narrow down the cause, I'm thinking it’s pointing to both of the DSP3200's going out at the same time (is that possible?)

Suspected computer connection:
- Plays sound when using USB output to AC200, and headphone output from AC200 to analog amp/speakers
- I can see the AC200 sample rate change when I change it on the computer, so I'm confident the computer connections are good

Suspected AC200 issue:
- Tried optical, USB and analog inputs
- Headphone output works
- Possible SpeakerLink output issue?
- Double checked speakers were not muted when headphones were connected

Suspected DSP3200 issue:
- No sound when hooked to AC200 with SpeakerLink
- Tried hooking to an AC12 with digital and comms from my 861v4, no sound from DSP3200's
- Possible both speakers went out at the same time?
- Caused by power spike? We're doing laundry today, and the washer/dryer do input some spikes into our old house electrical system (lights dimming, etc.)
- Checked the fuses and they look OK

Is there a certain way to connect the DSP3200s with SpeakerLink? i.e. right speaker input, then output to left speaker? I tried a couple variations and couldn't get sound out of either speaker. Any other ideas or ways to test the speakers would be much appreciated!

Did you set the speakers to mute when headphones are connected?

There is an option to have the speakers mute or not when headphones are connected.

Headphone muting was my first thought, but I double checked that the speakers were not muted when headphones were connected.
Added that to the AC200 investigation.

Are the green leds on the back of the speaker on when they are plugged in?

I’ve never noticed green LEDs on the back of the 3200’s, can you explain where they should be?

I just plugged the speakers in and I’m able to see an internal green light, but I think I found the light you're talking about near the top rear of the speaker (not lit up). This was just with power applied, no SpeakerLink connection. Does the green light show up with both power and SpeakerLink connections applied?

Or if the green light should light up with only power applied, what would be the issue?

Edit: Just applied power and connected SpeakerLink from AC200, still not seeing a green light on the back of the DSP3200’s. Any ideas?

Sometimes 3200s are difficult to “wake up”. Try mute/unmute using MSR.

IIRC the green led is on permanently and gets brighter when the speakers come out of standby, I would get the speakers to a dealer for testing.

Yes, the green LEDs should be always on when the 3200s have mains connected. They are dimmer in standby and brighter when woken up from standby.

The AC200 needs to 'wake up the speakers' which it does when it goes from standby to a source.

If you have the AC200 turned on and running (as per your test), and the turn on the speakers they will stay asleep, until the AC200 is put into standby and then brought back out of standby by selecting a source.

I'm not seeing the green light, sounds like I'll have to take them to a dealer to get checked out. Weird thing is they were working fine for a few days, then both went out over the weekend.

I had this problem for a while and tried everything I could think of, I also tried your solution. I realised that ffdshow was setup as the filter for audio on it. I uninstalled ffdshow and the streaming Audio problem was solved.

I installed ffdshow almost a year ago but the streaming Audio problem actually started just a few weeks ago, so I think one of the recent updates of ffdshow caused the problem. I have installed the latest version of ffdshow and everything is working ok now.
