BT - Monster OST. It is a sublime piece of work in DTS 5.1 (only wish there was a lossless version) and the production and dynamic range is first class. The use of surround here is designed to add tension, as fits the subject matter of the movie itself. What I love about this is he scored the album to run as a continuous piece of music. If I'm in the right mood, I can sit with my eyes closed for the entire score and just let myself be carried on the 2 hour journey.
Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells. Another DTS 5.1 which I really must listen to again. It's superb music, of course, but the use of surround is complimentary rather than distracting. Very immersive and enveloping. Again, superb production and dynamic range.
Hans Zimmer - Inception OST. A more subtle use of surround here but worthy of a listen.
Michael Jackson - This is It. Not really multichannel music as such, but it is 5.1 and the production is top of the pack.
Coldplay - Ghost Stories Live. Again, not really surround but another phenomenal piece of hifi. Quite a contrast to the terrible live audio they used to belt out at the O2 10 years ago or so.
