Thanks for the write up and finding the solution, I'm hoping to go the same route with my Sooloos and Roon setup with a Orbi router and two satellites, I choose the orbit for the hardwire on router and sats with the Meridian endpoints in mind.

It is still baffling why a switch between the Orbi and components would work, what is the switch actually supposed to do or is capable of doing, taking a stab in the dark the endpoints are not recognised as being hardwired with the Orbi but is with the switch, that is as far as my technical knowledge gets me.

Presumably the switches are easy to come by.
