Last week JimK and I did some comparative tests with the 218, Schiit Modi (their cheapest DAC), Audio Alchemy and Berkeley Alpha DAC 2. We tested the 218 as just a DAC, as a streamer and as a DAC/Streamer.

As a streamer the Audio Alchemy, which uses a Raspberry Pi board, absolutely thumped the 218 -- it wasn't even close.

If you're thinking of a buying a 210 I'd do a comparison first with your Raspberry Pi.
