I just received a new cable box and I have upgraded the UHD722 to V1.08 (latest).

Here is my issue:

- When I connect the cable box to my Pioneer Plasma (15 years old TV) > it works but no sound as I do not have the TV speakers (reason I use the G65)
- When I connect the cable box to UHD722 (input 1 or 2) > I have a black screen with intermittent green flash. I have sound working on the G65
- When I connect the cable box to my xBox One (input in) then xBox One to UHD722 then UHD722 to Plasma > I can see the image of the cable box when going through the xBox One. Picture quality is lower than direct to TV, but I have image and sound, this is what I currently use as a workaround but would like to change that.

Do you know why I have this black screen (green flash) when going from cable box to TV through the UHD722?
What does the xBox One have that allows the image to work through the UHD722?
How can I resolve my issue?

On the cable TV box I have the ability to change the resolution, I move from automatic to 1920 x 1080 P etc. to 720 and still the same issue going through the UHD722

My cable box (Samsung) doesn't play sound when HDMI deep color is enabled on the Projector or TV.

Annoying but I had to install an optical cable to the G65 and 861v8 in order to get 2 channel stereo or 5.1.

My cable company has a 4k box but it is "hyper-converged" meaning it is Wifi (covered), router (no way), and 4k cable box. uh yeah. It's french, too

Well, all telco providers here give Internet (up to 1G), phone, TV, wifi, router etc. in 1 box. The router works fine, for the wifi, I use an Airport Extreme which is far better.

They mention 4K cable box, but it is mainly HD TV (1080p) there are so few 4K programs or channels that is is only marketing.

Yes, Cablevision they were sold to Altice (Goel), eventually rebranding Optimum to Altice I hear.

I am not replacing my Unifi AP's (big house) or custom firewall/router (also edge router). Guess I have to wait until they can offer something to people that buy new Meridian equipment!

I have had issues with the UHD722 as well, deep color enabled on my LG tv and UHD722 will not let Xbox one Pro output in 4k most outputs dont switch, I have good HDMI cables capable of 40gig, Updated the firmware,
defaulted the TV and 722 re-enabled deep color, it now works except, i cant get ARC to work audio from tv into 722 and out of my G68 any ideas

ARC is only available on ths speakerlink out and then is limited to 2 channel.

So how do you configure it ?

I too am having issues with my HD722 and cable. I believe that I’ve isolated for all other aspects (ie. HDMI cables, TV, etc.). Using 861v8 for processor in this zone, 8KSE’s + 7200HCSE.

Current Issues:

[*]> 2:15 minute lag time to get TV and Sound both ‘on’
[*]Need to turn Meridian sound > 60 to get ‘normal’ volume whereas in past ~48 was ‘normal’
[*]Persistent ‘pop’ from the Meridian DSP subwoofer when changing channel, etc.
[*]When first turning system ON, screen initially is black then screen quickly flashes green snow/noise

It really just seems like the core processing function into the HD722 is not resolving, but I am not sure, am at a loss here ... Thought it was initially the cable box, so I swapped it out 2x’s with brand new boxes, same issue(s) persist. Going to cycle through a few system reboots (ie. Power on/off HD722), but any thoughts appreciated here, sound should be much better.

I was able to resolve my issue with my new cable box and plasma.

I bought a Splitter HDMI, SOWTECH(TM) Répartiteur 2 Ports 1x2

and it solved my HDCP or whatever issue. Potentially it will resolve your issues ?
