The only reason that you might want to do this is to have different settings for each loudspeaker (e.g. boundary), as IIRC the slave in the pair normally inherits these from master.

I seem to recall that these settings in contemporary Meridian speakers are per-speaker, the implication being that not being able to set one speaker as "Wall" and the other as "Corner" was not an audio consideration, but a comms system limitation / simplification. But I could be wrong. Perhaps someone could chip in here if they know more?
