I suspect this will be way too expensive for what it offers. So not me.
(Sadly this reflects a number of meridians recent offerings, the 722 being a case in point)

Am I right to assume this (TBD) means To Be Decided or alternatively To Be Deleted? It is odd that a price of 1000 US dollars has been posted without M having completed the product. This gives the impression of a wet finger in the air to check the wind direction. Hector

To answer Bruces poll no I wont be using Airplay 2 to stream to Meridian and neither will my Gen Z children - they either listen/watch on their i device or with a bluetooth speaker or on the smart TV (netflix,amazon,spotify,youtube). Despite my protestations at MP3 quality, convenience trumps quality. For myself I use i device/android for control and all data streams are via cable.

For my purposes AirPlay alone will not cut it. I can do that today with a 218 + an AP Express and I rarely use it.
Spotify - not compelling enough. I’d rather see Spotify integrated in Roon even if as a low res alternative for party playlists (only thing I use Tidal for).
Roon RAAT - Somewhat interesting, but I’d rather have that in a card that fits an 818.
- Unless it's Roon compatible, it's (literally) useless for me as a streamer.
- Spotify may be interesting at some point, as Soundserge says, but I'd prefer it if that feature was integrated within Roon (which Meridian can't control).
- [Sooloos is legacy for me too - no requirement - but also curious that it's missing]
- Bluetooth / WiFi should be mandatory - will only be used from time to time / by visitors - but needs to be there for those eventualities.
- I'd also expect a LAN connection / MQA decoding / SpeakerLink connections to be essential.
-> This basically all adds-up to a 218 with additional functionality?! Am struggling to see the point of the 210, particularly at the aforementioned price-points and would probably suggest / prefer a 218v2!
