Check out: new config program, new firmware for G68J, and possibly some other things I haven't looked at for now.

Have downloaded new firmware and still getting 'Bad eeprom contents' message a la 4.18b. Have re-typed , fetched and stored and still the same.
Using 'Fetch' and 'Store' on Mconfig for the first time seemed to go very well at first glance. That is until I actually looked at copy saved on my pc only to discover that I no longer have 5000L/C/R , 33 rears and a D2500 sub.Somewhere between Fetch and store I must have nipped around to the shops and got 5 x 5500 and a D1500 sub without remembering !!!!!

Any ideas ? Is this the first bug [Linked Image from softronix.com] ?

You could try:
1.Hard powercycle 861
2.Store firmware v 4.1
3.store your old pre 4.18b config
and then if the error message is gone
do it all over using firmware 4.2 and Mconfig.
You probably should not fetch Config data from 861, but create a all new Mconfig based on you r old config data

Geir,
Thanks for that.I seem to recall having to do something similar with version 4.1 originally. I did try to start a new config earlier but I had a few disagreements with the program over connections [Linked Image from softronix.com]
I will persevere this time .

John,
Short answer : NO

This problem should only happen on 861's.

You can store new firmware on G68 and continue to use your existing setup.

To make life easier, webmaster might consider putting a date after the shiny NEW icon so we know when the NEW software was added [Linked Image from softronix.com]

Hi Recruit

I found I was able to preserve all my setting on my g68 in the new Config program. You must 'fetch' your settings, from the 68, however, since loading saved files from the old program loses tuner and room correction data (at least it did when I tried it)

Hi John

On closer inspection the 'fetch' from my g68 uploaded the room corection profile names but not the filter data. I don't know if there is a way of getting old RC data into new config program?

The filter measurement data is stored always on the pc.

The G68 only has DSP profiles sent to it. I asked Tech support this a while ago.
