Are there alternative remote available for MSR?
I could use learning remote, but are any other alternatives?

There is a virtual MSR which can be used on an iPad but can’t be programmed.

Found the info but it only works for iPad. No iPhone, MacOS nor Android...

What are your objectives?
I believe the remote from the F80 might do the job.
I have just configured a Logitech Harmony remote which seems to be working well.

Simple objective, the MSR is too expensive.
I want cheap alternative for backup/2nd room.

Have you checked on eBay? They frequent quite often on the UK site.

Hi,
My M80 remote won’t work with my G65.
However, my AC200 remote does work with my G65 to control power off, power on via source button (as per MSR+), step through source selection and volume up/down.

Just a question, the MSR can be had for around $60.00 used and the MSR+ can be had used at around $100 used and $150 new, what else could be cheaper?

Some of the cheapo Chinese brand Android phones have an IR blaster, and there are a couple of good programmable controller apps. MSR codes are all published on the M website. That's probably your cheapest alternative route.
