In fact, I've just dug out an old copy of Home Cinema Choice (Sept 2017) where they test 4 premium sets; 3 OLEDs (LG 65" W7, £8,000 / Loewe Bild 7.65, £6,500 / Panasonic TX-65EZ1002, £6,000) against Sony's larger LCD (75" XE9405, £4,900) & they found the Sony to be winner.

I calibrated a friends 75 XE9405 for him, and on bright scenes it is stunning, but no matter how much you try and get the blacks right they never are. He came from an early LG OLED and was a bit disappointed.
However, he stuck with it as he was wanting to get rid of his JVC projector.

It is a good set with reference stuff, but with TV it always looks a bit washed out, especially when you have a scene with dark and light at the same time.

Viewing angles are pants too, something I tried to explain to him before buying it, but after years of plasmas and projectors I don't think he realised how bad. His sofas are laid out with one either side of the room and an armchair in front, he had to move it all around as even laying back on one of the side sofas so you are only slightly off centre would make the blacks look a washed out blue.

He paid just under £3k for it, he said if it had been more he would have returned it, but was never going to pay for a 75" OLED.
