Fred and Malcolm

I like the sound of this "96 menu" to skip all the copyright screens. How do you do it? I've tried opening the drawer, pressing 9, 6, and Enter, but nothing happens. My 596 is running 1.32 firmware.

Cheers

George

On 596:

To Access 596 System Menu:

Open Drawer
On Remote enter 9,6,enter

This displays the menu on screen.

Op Proh on = 0 Allows Fast Forward past FBI warnings
DD2.0 to PCM = on Allows PL2 to be used on 568
Adv Display = on Shows Bitrate Display on Screen
Analogue O/P = off Disables Analogue Output Sockets

Hope this helps.

Malcolm

PS. Is this site running slowly?

If you're using the new MConfig program, you can right click on the G91, select Properties from the context sensitive options, followed by the Setup tab to get at the items that also appear on the 96 menu.

Cheers,

When I said "new MConfig", I just meant MConfig versus the older "Allinone".

Sorry my previous text wasn't clear.

guys,
what do we have to load for the g9x firmware upgrade?
the g91.mfp provide the link to G91AMFM_core_1_73 and G91AMFM_data_1_73
or the dab version.

there is also the G91_dsp001e file for the DSP dated 10Jan05. I tried to load it up and it didn't work. Now the player is behaving madly power switch off doesn't do anything can't put a CD or DVD. weird... and annoiyng...

what does the G91_data5_1_02 file does?

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

The Flash uploader should automatically choose the correct firmware for you once you go into the G Series selection so all you need to do is go into either the G91 or G98 folders.

Cheers
John
