Hi Ian,
After reading your post, I definitely stand corrected and have edited my post above.
I had surgery yesterday and found myself unable to sleep last night so I logged onto the forum. I saw James’s post and not ever being a G Series owner went on Duncan’s site to see the rear layouts on the G68 and G98. Obviously I was only trying to help solve his problem. At this point in time I was sitting in bed with just my iPhone and no reading glasses. I did actually open the photo of the rear of the G98DH and instantly spotted the VGA MHR connector but did not see the digital coax MHR sockets sitting to the left of it, due both not having my glasses handy (couldn’t get out of bed) and due to the poor quality of the picture.
After reading your response, I did what I should have done last night and opened the manual to see the G98DH rear layout, which can be zoomed right in crystal clear. I then opened up the photo again knowing where to look for the second MHR coax connectors. With and without glasses I still could read the labeling of the individual coax outputs but now know how they are labeled from the manual. With glasses I could read the heading above Main Digital Outputs but not without my reading glasses.
I also referenced the G68 manual and checked the rear photo again and have found that the Coax MHR inputs are also in the opposite order to what I described in my post, without being able to read them. The 7/8 Rears are the first coax socket on the left, with 3/4 centre/LFE in the middle and 1/2 Fronts on the right.
I have certainly learned my lesson and will reference manuals first in the future, wearing my reading glasses !
Cheers,
Steve M
