Gentlemen,

Having grown up with the Doctor (Late Hartnel>Troughton being my vintage) what do you think of the new one, just finished 5 mins ago? Cool!

Let's hear who your fave Doctor was, and your scariest baddy!

Doctors:
1 Troughton
2 Pertwee
3 Davidson
4 Baker
5 The rest were irrelevant. Mind you, McGann had promise

Baddies:
1 Cybermen
2 Yeti (in London Underground)
3 Daleks
4 Field Marshal Styre

Oooh, it's dead good!

I missed it too!! Anyone know anywhere on the web where the 'leaked' version of last nights show can be seen.

Couldn't record it as the in laws were babysitting and didn't watch it. (Another good reason for Sky+, but want to wait until HD Sky).

Fav doctor Tom Baker, and baddy 'The Master'

I thought it was excellent which, given the ludicrous amount of hype, is saying something. Good acting (great timing from Ecclestone and who'd have thought Billie Piper could act!), script, humour and effects. Well done the Beeb.

Only one quibble: I think the (subtle) changes to the theme tune have removed some of its impact...

William Hartnell, the first Doctor (and one of my favorites) irrelevant!!!!

Cancel your Dr Who fan-club membership and go and stand in the corner in shame!

Well, in my defence your Honour, I was thinking of the post Davidson Doctors. Hartnel wasn't included in the irrelevancies list as he was just before my time (I can remember watching a few episodes), so I can't really judge him. But I am happy to get wellied into Peter Cushing, now that I come to think of it!

I guess Spielberg gave up on his drunken womanising Doctor Who plans from a few years back?

Hi there,

You all need to get out more or invest in better music systems?

Have to say it wasnt too bad. I'm amazed that the BBC actually bothered to spend that much on something that isnt linked to home improvement, cooking or reality tv. Makes a change!

The only niggle I had was the sound was a bit oddly mixed at the begining (too quiet). I think also someone had a mic open in one of the live studios at the time (the bit where Piper was locked in the basement).

I will be watching next week to make my mind up.

It's being repeated at 19.00 on BBC3 this evening (Sunday). Sorry for the short notice but I only just read the thread.
Cheers,
Chris.

You can download it from here: http://www.btefnet.net

You need a Bit Torrent client such as Azureus to download it though.

Cheers.
