Folks, When configuring an HD621 do I need to drag a surround processor like the G68 to sit in place of a 568.2mm? The 568.2 is setup with the legacy config program.

Also do I actually have to drag a source onto the GUI and connect to an HDMI connection? Why can't I just set DVD to H1 and call it a day?

Thanks,Ron

Hi Ron

Not sure about the first half of your Q (although it seems the obvious thing to try), but for the second bit you do need to add a source to the HD621 and then save the configuration to it. That way the comms connection can work correctly and the HD621 will switch to the correct input when you select it on the processor.

Main system - Sources (Kodi-HTPC, Vero 4k, FireTV, Sat) into Trinnov Altitude 32 (8-16) (+Roon), Trinnov Amplitude 8 amp & Vivid Audio (Giya G3, V1.5) and REL Stentor III speakers. Others: F80 + Raspberry Pi and other Pi systems.

That's what I would try. You need to tell comms what to do and if a 568 isn't in the list, use a substitute.
You have nothing to lose trying.

In fact, thinking back, this is exactly what I did when setting up 'Drongo' of this parish 568 HD621. It worked first go,

No 18 in the Hall of fame smile I have simple tastes; I am content to settle for the best:
GIK monster bass panels, rear wall. QNAP TVS 471i3. Roon into DSP5200SE via 210/ 218 zone... Explorer 2. Bluesound Pulse 2, Mini & Flex. 596v1, 518, Foxsat HD, Sony BDP, Pioneer 5090, 2 Chromecast's for LRB videos. MS200 to F80 for a Roon zone

Thanks guys...that's what I sent to Samuel last night. Dragged in sources, assigned HDMI input and attached the HD621 to a G61 set as controller.

If this doesn't work he has a defective HD621.

Hopefully he gets a chance to try it today.
