Yes I have also, plugged into a g57 into neat ultimatum speakers. So far some excellent sounds coming out especially 24bit albums. I'm still messing around with cables so once I settle on certain cables I'm hoping for more

The analogue outputs have been through the DAC at 192kHz so the signal has been well processed. I am about to connect my headphones/amp to analogue out, will report back after a good listen.

Anyone else that have the 218 always startup with analog (A1) input. If I go into the setup meny it says that SLS (Net) shall be used as startup input.

You can try an MSR+ to switch sources.

The sources can be configured in a web browser (e.g.. Firefox, Safari) by typing the IP adddress in the address field then hit enter. This may work, but might only be appropriate for the IP app, worth a try.

Do you know if the ac200 remote will work on the 218, as that would be a nice discrete remote to use, as you have a ac200?
It could be done, I think, but you would need an additional IR adapter (Meridian sell one) to receive the commands from the ac200 remote.
It would depend on your configuration of the 218 as well (done via a web browser). I.P. switching works well on an iPad including some functionality with Roon as well, however, I tried using the MSR+ which will switch to, for example Roon, but doesn't start play (Not a major issue), the ease of control with the app just make everything far more intuitive.

Such is the effectiveness & flexibility of the 218 & App that there might be an AC200 in the restaurant soon. 🤔
Anyone tried with a control system like Crestron? is there a list of IP commands to send it via ethernet? Anyone tried with control4?

Hi Herman

Have you restarted the 218 since you made the change?

Cheers
Tom

Anyone fed a 176k or 192k PCM signal to the 218's coax inputs? What do the SE speakers say?

I fed 192kHz and my SL displayed 96kHz, afaik this is correct as 218 downsamples. That said, I suffered intermittent audio dropouts which I have yet to resolve.

What I want, what I really really want is:
 • a 218 with a screen, front panel controls, and a nice case!

Needs to be family friendly and I don't want my 8-yr-old forced to use an iPhone to organise her TV viewing.

Thanks, but I asked for what *SE* loudspeakers say. SpeakerLink has the ability to convey the capabilities of the destination hardware to the source. I would expect exactly what you see for 96/24-capable speakers!

Should it support video too? And would you expect to use it in-conjunction with a surround processor or instead of?

Has anyone linked this into an all SpeakerLink 5.1 system with G65 or other processor, putting it between the G65 and the front two speakers?

Did you change your FR or FL to be the master speaker?
Did you also reprogram the G65 to take account of this?

How did you setup the 218 to turn off the rear speakers / pause the G65 when using it for MQA from Sooloos?

No, just stereo is fine. Just a 218 in a nice case with front panel stuff. Obviously the 218 is for a different market.
