Is there an easy way to switch the source on the 218 other than via IP control on an iPad? Can I do it over a connected Mac for example - or even via an iPhone?

[/quote] In short, I began my Meridian experience with Technosound in Milton Keynes, great service, knowledgeable and no longer in the business. Secondly with Meridian Boutique in Oxford, again no longer listed as a place to experience Meridian demonstrated products. The emphasis has shifted well above my consumer potential for local Meridian Installer companies and Norwich or indeed Sheffield is just out of the question. These are the reasons why we rely on you the remaining Premium Partners to provide a service that will increase sales to "Legacy Customers". Hector

Have now played the 818 vs 218 for a client this morning.
System spec.
218/818
Vitus Audio SIA025.
B&W 803D3.
Chord Sarum full loom.
818 is still the reference for audio streaming. Playing initially standard audio files, the 818 gave such a massive expanse of realism.
The 818 was running balanced, taking full advantage of the monaural amplifier.
MQA - differences were there, to a degree not as pronounced when going this A/b using some SE DSPs. You can hear and understand what the 818 was offering over and above the 218.
What did the customer purchase?
