Yes, I'm having exactly the same problem. That being said, I really didn't need it. Just plugged the 218 in and away I went.

Have you tried to 'Connect Manually' (top right corner option on the connection page}, where you can type in the IP of the 218 rather than letting the app search for it?

I just received my 218. If I connect the 218 to a pair of 3200 and want to play a MQA-file what happens?

The 218 will unfold MQA to a max resolution of 24/96 (supposing the MQA file has a resolution of at least that).

Sooloos, Roon, G series (with LPS upgrade), 800 series (with LPS upgrade), HD621, AC200, Prime and PS, DSPs old and new.

Purdeys, Moke, Leica, 'Blad. Only the best.

Yes my IP-Control also lost its Connection. But if I click on the IP-address at start-up the app doesn't loose the Connection.

Thinking on the 218 I see it's perfect for pure Analog systems and 2.1 speaker DSP zones but does nothing for people with Meridian processors.
It seems the MQA advantage would be just lost and you may as well use the 'Free' software decoding in Tidal and soon to be Roon which would also be compromised with no further rendering available.
Any thoughts?

No 18 in the Hall of fame smile I have simple tastes; I am content to settle for the best:
GIK monster bass panels, rear wall. QNAP TVS 471i3. Roon into DSP5200SE via 210/ 218 zone... Explorer 2. Bluesound Pulse 2, Mini & Flex. 596v1, 518, Foxsat HD, Sony BDP, Pioneer 5090, 2 Chromecast's for LRB videos. MS200 to F80 for a Roon zone

Hi,

Yes, that's exactly what I was wondering _ perhaps Rick will have some answers.

I'd like to think that I can use a 218 as as MQA capable endpoint and that I can still feed the L+R SL output "thru" the 218 and on to my 5200SE speakers.

Brian

If you take digital out to a processor, you can play all non MQA tracks of which there are still quite a few ... These tracks would benefit from Room correction, Trifield etc.

Cheers
Tom

I very much expect to be able to use my soon to arrive 218 to feed my 8000SE's and have fully unfolded MQA, if not it goes back...
