I took one for the team and installed it. So far so good. MD600 sysversion is updated, as is Control:Mac. ID41 and MS200 seem to have same firmware as 2.527. No issues so far.

I've certainly had to remove and re-add my Tidal account more than usual to get Tidal to stream again via Sooloos. I'll keep any eye on improvements in this latest release.
