Is asking a question in response to a statement, 'twisting things'?

Yeah, I get it. People want an upgrade to the 861. They want Atmos.

But this is an info post from a respected dealer about a control app for a 218. Has ANYONE at any point said the 218 was multichannel.

Like I say, getting a bit bored by the snarkey comments. But by all means carry on and hijack this thread and make your point. Then complain that no dealers ever post here.

Like I say, a respected dealer, posts an info thread at the weekend. Why not have a little think before you hit that reply button.

I feel pretty light to be honest. I've pretty much kept up with all the latest upgrades. SE is STUNNING, 808.6 is sublime. My system has NEVER sounded better. I use a G61 for movies and it sounds great to me. Yeah doesn't have atmos but at least I don't have to drill about 8 holes in my ceiling.

Magic, believe it or not, some people just do t get music lol

SkyArts channel last night had Chris Packham (wildlife guy) with Nitin Sawnhey (awesome music guy) doing a programme about music and animals.

Really good watch with many examples like the cockatoo.

Received a 'phone call from Meridian this morning - well within the 72 hours (limit) promised !

Seems that the 218's their absolute priority at the mo' & they're working flat out to get the first batch shipped in the 3rd week of April - unless there are any as-yet-undiscovered-problems of course !

The general frustration (that some of us feel) is understood but the philosophy is to get this box of tricks right first time as it's a complex little beastie & opens up a raft of opportunities for Meridian....it's not only aimed at those of us wanting to connect it to an 861 for MQA....although we're probably the most impatient / vociferous !

I will continue to wait & chew my nails, because after all what else can I do (?!), but the contact & discussion from / with Meridian was genuinely appreciated.

Good news indeed, can't wait for the first review and how it is perceived in the M device pecking order.

Any idea if this API will be published for third party integration? This is often the case.
