Recruit: Oh ok - I thought you were talking about only one G55 and were thinking of adding another amp for the rears (not a G55).

I was thinking of doing the same for some time now, since the G55 seems too small to drive my 5x BW804 loud enough without getting way too hot and distorting the sound or shutting down, but I finally decided to go for the Classe Delta CA-5200 (5x200) http://www.classeaudio.com/delta/specs/ca5200.htm (still waiting for it though) and either sell the G55 or use it in another room with smaller speakers. I tried a Rotel 2x200 beast with my L/R 804's and the difference in power was absolutely stunning. I bet the Classe will sound even better in a 5 channel configuration ..

Kacos - 5 x 804's [Linked Image from softronix.com] i would definitly consider more oomph for the B&W's they are beautiful speakers and they deserve more power.. [Linked Image from softronix.com]

I recently found that out myself - the more loud you play them, the better they sound (providing you have the power to play them loud..}

PS: actually they are 4x804s & 1xHTM1 & 1 ASW850 .. [Linked Image from softronix.com]

I have a Parasound 2205A 5 channel amp running 2 x B&W Nautlius 802, and 1 x B&W Nautilus HTM-1 Centre and it sounds outstanding with my 568 and 500mkII transport.

Drop me a line if your in the market around I might be driven down the upgrade path to Meridian DSP!

After two days with the Classe Delta 5200 in place of the G55 I can only say one word:

WOW [Linked Image from softronix.com]

At last the 804's woke up and showed me their full potential. Even with the stereo DSP on the G68 they simply sound excellent! Clarrity, power and speed all over the range ...

Hi Kacos,
That is good to hear the Class amp is alot more powerful and at 200w per channel that is what the 804's needed.
I am now running the new B&W 805S's and HTM4S with the G55 and it runs them fine to very high levels, but will definitly add another to boost the power for the front 3 channels when funds allow.

Cheers
John
