The comms sockets on your 568 are master sockets. It is more reliable to go from the 568 to each component in turn (in sequence) in a single daisy chain which you can, if you wish lead back to the other comms connector on the 568 (for example) but that last step is not really necessary. What can lead to difficulties is if you establish two separate daisy chains each fed from the 568 by two separate Master cables but, sort of, ending nowhere and separately, so to speak. They can get out of sync and give undesirable control effects.
That is absolutely wrong and it will run just as robust and nothing will get out of sync.
All it is, is basic RS-232/488 commands going out in parallel to all speakers. Whether they go out in a Y or Serial does not matter. It's all parallel either way.
Typically sync problems are due to folks having multiple controllers.
