I don't use phones much but I have a pair of Phillips SHP 9000 I bought at a 'Car Boot Sale' for £10 boxed and new looking with a damaged cable. A new cable Sennhieser £10 ish and I'm away.
40Khz quoted upper frequency and they don't sound bad at all.
