With the announcement of the very well priced 218, I was wondering/hoping that my G68 may be altered/upgraded to include an analogue bypass so I could enjoy MQA. I also have a 568.2mm. Would it be possible with this unit?
Any suggestions appreciated.

Use the 218 to do it as it has analog in and out. That would be pretty seemless.

Not bypass per se but it does have analog input and output. When streaming MQA you would be using its Sooloos endpoint and for everything else, you would switch to the analog input.

This is where we need more details re the 218 please.
Based on the picture in the 218 Zone Controller launched thread it has no separate comms connection or RS232 control connection so presumably the control interfaces are speakerlink in, speakerlink out (back from the master speaker in a very simple two-channel setup), the IR detector and over the network connection (as an 818 can) via Sooloos?
