I wonder when or if they are ever going to offer full albums of the demo material MQA uses at their events. At RMAF I heard the MQA version of Led Zeppelin. Unbelievable, I didn't think I ever wanted to hear it again. How about the Dylan tracks too??

A question to anyone who has Marillion's new album, is it a full white glove release? I've no MQA capability, but the MQA download does sound really very good. Interestingly I thought that it sounded exceptionally well recorded when I first heard it on Spotify, before knowing of it's MQA release, so it's surely a cracker on a fully fledged rig?

Cheers

George, i cannot find anything what tells me what MQA quality the FEAR album is except that my displays show MQA. 96, the dot may mean something, and i remember someone wrote about the meaning of that dot.
The album itself sounds pretty good especially in MQA (easily A-B comparable to the Tidal version) but as i wrote before i am not impressed by the whole production, maybe too much compression to my liking.

Cheers!

Here is a MQA double album of real quality and somewhat surprising value from Highresaudio.

The Bach Cello Suites
Petrit Ceku (Guitar)
Arrangement Valter Despalj

FLAC 17 Pounds
MQA 16 Pounds! smile

MQA 352K, relaxing and easy on the pocket for 133 minutes of wonderful playing.

Thanks for referring Highresaudio.com - easy to use, easy to sign up, paypal enabled, clean downloads.

I chanced upon the Walkure by Zubin Metha in Munich released in 2015, mastered in MQA. Is this the first opera release in MQA ? Im jumping around sampling it now - and it is GOOD. Tuttis are broad and warm with no distortion detectable, voices are SO REAL as to convey the emotions to the edge of your seat; orchestral details especially the supporting voices in strings and winds coming through with vital urgency. Brass instrument separation very much better than regular reproduction.

Good tidings for MQA future.

Tidal Masters (Hopefully MQA by another shortened name) offer many titles but I have yet to find an MQA file not listed in the Tidal App as others have suggested now exist.

On Tidal, Mud Slide Slim... James Taylor is a revelation. 192k and SQ way ahead of the original release.

So much to listen to, including a host of new artists, I have never heard of. cool

Hi Hector

Try The Smiths "Meat is Murder" (shows MASTER in the bottom right corner when played)

Cheers

Grateful Dead - American Beauty in Tidal MQA . The GD sell a lot of CD's to subscribers (still in HDCD?) but have migrated most (all?) of their catalog to Tidal/streaming. Hearing American Beauty will convert many Deadheads to MQA supporters!

American Beauty was also released in 24-96 DVD audio, so a great opportunity to compare DVD A vs. MQA.

Doobie Brothers "Stampede' on Tidal MQA 192k.

Excellent reproduction cool
Had to go back to my original vinyl copy to make a comparison.

No clicks and bangs on MQA and can enjoy the whole album without getting up from the chair.

Not just a "Précis" of the original (track 8) clearly more content.

As a generalisation it seems the further you go back in time the greater the now MQA improvement becomes.

Such a pleasure to hear this recording as it was initially intended by the band and the recording engineer.

Happy Hector
