I tried setting the type of the speakers to both type 5 and 6.
I tried using both D1 and D2 for each type.

The speakers and the 861 display CD or Radio and the volume, but no sound is played.

I tried the "Calibrate" button from behind the panel on the 861:
861 shows Sine and then the frequency sweep
Speakers show CD or Radio and volume, but no sound is played.

When I had tried this earlier with the full configuration I had been using the Blu-ray input (input is MD1 from the HD621 3 x Coax connections) and this works for the Calibration but not the Room Correction.

This sounds more than just the Card Responsible for generating the MRC Noise. Because what you did above is pretty basic and doesn't even involve Noise Generation.

Is the ID40 card officially supported in 861v4?

I know you guys are getting worn out and may need mother ship involved to sort this out.

But is it possible to just tell it, in MConfig, the ID40 isn't there?

If you think listening to music is fun, try learning an instrument.
