Today I created a new configuration file from scratch.
I set the type of the 861 to "Type 2 - All digital, LFE sub".

After setting up the devices and configuring the parameters, I tried the "speaker calibration" and it worked generating noise for each channel.

When I tried the "room correction" it still failed without making a noise.

the program window shows:
...
selecting source

setting volume to 87
product status error: st = "Fail"
Measurement failed.

the speaker shows:
CD 50
CD 87
CD 65
goes into standby (green dot)

Other things I also tried:
- removing the analog sub from the configuration
- updating to the latest version of Meridian Config
- Windows 7 user account, running as admin
