In my case, I ran into a Norton firewall problem. Norton flags most Meridian releases with comments like "very few users" and "new." They quarantine the Meridian files and block any updates. I had forgotten the get around which is to disable Norton, do the update and turn the firewall back on. I couldn't get at the quarantined files so went to Meridian support web site and downloaded Control:PC from the MC200 link and all is good.

Just posting for future reference to Norton related problems.
