The CD player/caddie in my C10 won't work and I'm in the process of getting it fixed (I hope). In the mean time I am using the file/folder import function on Control:PC. I prefer to use the import folder to get all the files for an album. I can't highlight multiple folders to select them. I can only highlight/select one folder at a time and this get tedious.

For example multiple folders in a box set that are listed as separate folders, such as (example 1):

folder 1
folder 2

I know I can import in this manner (example 2)

top folder
folder 1
folder 2

So I don't have to go around mucking with the file structure is there a way to select multiple folders, at one time, for import (as in example 1)? Or, am I relegated to example 2?

I've tried using the shift key, option key, etc to highlight multiple folders for import but have been unsuccessful. I also haven't been able to find the answer in the forum. It's also not in the ripping guide as far as I can tell.

Thanks!

Option #2 I'm afraid.

Just a hypothetical possibility, because at the moment I can't test this myself.
If you do a search in your Windows explorer for all your .FLAC files (or whatever file formats you have) you'll get a results list for all music files. It might be possible to import these in one giant bulk with drag and drop into Control:PC.

Good luck with that. You'd spend hours and days checking the results and or unpicking the ID mess.

I just tried this with Control:PC (running in VirtualBox) - seems to work with multiple folders.

Pay close attention to multi-CD sets with CD 1 and CD2 (for example)

If you import a parent folder with lots of albums in sub-folders, you will be tempted to accept and import all the results as you see them in the import queue.

You may not notice any irregularities. For example, as will often happen, CD2 may OVERWRITE CD1 in the import queue. Resulting in only one of the CD's being imported.

Sometimes, tracks from CD1 will append themselves to CD2. I never saw any release note to say this bug was fixed.

Just two examples where you have to be very careful with a bulk import.

FWIW - I imported 11,000 albums twice in the time I used Sooloos.
