For SE speakers the MQA will be decoded in the 218 and then transferred to the speakers by MHR where it is rendered using their 192k capable DACS. Hi Rick, just wonder if you mean exactly that. SE's can and do display 384k if the material is that rate. You comment suggests a 192 limit. Could you clarify? Many thanks Nick

All I can say is finally! Years in the making and finally here. Even more amazing is that it's a near value...
I wonder if the multi channel amp isn't a precursor to some major changes to strategy in surround sound...
Cannot wait to dig in a little more. This is a major change in direction for M in my view. Capitalizing on their brand for installer market that doesn't want DSP commitment.
Are there M analog drivers on the way? I HAVE to believe their only minutes away.

Nope, the feature set is exactly why I am after without having to use an AC200/MS200 combo which cannot be easily hidden. MQA is a bonus as well.

Big question: Will the network input (I assume that's what Net stands for) accept more than 96k. If not, this is dead in the water for me.

Brilliant product! Not looking hopelessly overpriced. More aimed at installers, lifestyle and second room systems perhaps.
Almost an AC200 with an endpoint, MQA as well. SQ Wise presumably not flagship but presumably not dumbed down.
This may also give 3200s and 3300s a lease of life, preamp, endpoint so Roon/ Sooloos, plus control.
Meridian don't like headphone sockets do they?

I might consider one of these for use with my F80. It would be nice to see a spec, particulary to clarify VK's point. And, where did the link to the site showing a back panel view go to?
