Thanks Rick. Does that say 'IR in' next to the power socket?
Main system - Sources (Kodi-HTPC, Vero 4k, FireTV, Sat) into Trinnov Altitude 32 (8-16) (+Roon), Trinnov Amplitude 8 amp & Vivid Audio (Giya G3, V1.5) and REL Stentor III speakers. Others: F80 + Raspberry Pi and other Pi systems.

Thanks Rick. Does that say 'IR in' next to the power socket? Yes (I think so). It will be for a remote IR receiver. Rick

Big question: Will the network input (I assume that's what Net stands for) accept more than 96k. If not, this is dead in the water for me. That would need a change to Sooloos core wouldn't it ? Or a new protocol to match most of the other network devices that are now on the market. Notice that some of the other network Products can switch between several protocols including their own and RAAT.
Rgds, Nick

I'm with Nick on this. I would be surprised if it was the network hardware that was the limiting factor - unless internally the architecture was the limiting factor. Surely the Ultra DAC, with same documented limitation would have moved on from ID41 had the hardware been the issue.
Would make sense for Meridian to license the Roon protocol (hopefully to run side by side with legacy Sooloos) especially if it was theirs in the first place.

Brilliant product! Not looking hopelessly overpriced... Meridian don't like headphone sockets do they? Nor apparently does Apple. Do you think they leaked it to precede/coincide with the iPhone 7 which has a similar "omission"? Conspiracy theorists want to know.👀

I'm more concerned about the lack of an RS232 port, although I suppose that would only be a problem if you were expecting to integrate this with a 3rd party control system...

It is IP and IR controllable so most control systems should be able to handle it.

So do firmware updates get done over IP?
Sooloos, Roon, G series (with LPS upgrade), 800 series (with LPS upgrade), HD621, AC200, Prime and PS, DSPs old and new.
Purdeys, Moke, Leica, 'Blad. Only the best.

What are the control options over IP?
Do you think the analogue outputs will be live at the same time as digital outputs? Just thinking about the possibilities of adding a sub to a 3200 pair.

It will be a full command set ie source, volume, etc. I will be at Cedia next week and will get all the details.
