Berlin Classics
Audite

It's still only a handful, but these are serious labels (and of course for other genres in the case of ECM). Not that 2L isn't serious, but we need more!

Thanks for the heads-up. I was able to see the titles available. Still nothing I am interested in. I will keep looking there watching for new titles.

thank you for the recommendation, I purchased and downloaded two MQA albums, the Buena Vista Social Club MQA remaster and Mozart:Requiem. I would have purchased an ECM recording, but they weren't for sale to US residents.

Of course, the Buena Vista Social Club was a big seller on CD format around late 97/98 (also released to DVD Audio in small quantities but never purchased by myself).

The 2L MQA releases have showcased the Audio quality of MQA when introduced into the chain of exacting recording/producers, this is the first MQA recording I have come across that allows me to compare 16/44.1 CD quality and MQA 24/96 unfolded quality.

Look forward to hearing about your results. I also have the BVSC DVDA and CD so will be interesting to test. It is a rich recording.

Site is very slow so I had to be patient to view them all.

Very promising and not ridiculously expensive either.

Was just going to purchase the Qobuz Hi-Res Version, so this is very good news, if hardly mainstream. But then SACD/DSD appeared to start with similar repertoire.

We listened to Buena Vista last night. Very strong reaction from Mrs L who has no idea about any of the tech. Very positive. Huge details in what is generally a complex recording. By complex I mean bass, percussion, vocal harmonies, etc. Many layers. Particularly enjoyed the bass clarity and timing, piano scale and realism, guitars and vocals (Ibrahim, Compay, Omara etc)....and the myriad of percussion used to keep the tracks ticking along. I guess I particularly enjoyed it all. So easy to hear it all I think.

Overall presentation very "live". There were many passages that really gave a sense of players stood in the room.

This is the first MQA album that I have which I know pretty well. Have to say I am rather excited about it.

Slowly! 3 more albums added, so now 163 total. At least one of the 3 added titles is from 2L.

Still having problems with this website. I have registered but I am having continuing problems navigating between pages etc.

Would love to buy but it isn't easy from here.
