I wish him every success, as well as the whole venture. How magical it would be if the best format finally became predominant?!

Agreed, but things do seem to be moving now, with Warner signed up, and now this appointment.

They [Warner] expect to have completed [MQA'ing] everything—the whole WMG catalog—by next spring.
Yes, the entire WMG catalog, not just the existing hi-res stuff! Stereophile - MQA and Warner: the Real Scoop.

That is very, very cool.

If what Bob Stuart hopes is realistic by next spring in terms of Warner, and Sony and Universal join the party, it will be a true revolution in recorded music.

In terms of streaming platforms, is there a possibility that the big three could each have their own? Or join forces and do it direct? Seems we could have a true 'world library' of music streamed for a fee, with tracks/albums as optional purchases to own too?
