Is any MQA material available yet? If so, how much? If not, when can we expect it?

Oh that explains why I couldn't see any here or in the streaming sedition, sorry! Is there anything actually available, though?

My advice, would be to download all relevant formats, old and new, from the 2L test bench and then make comparisons.
This is, IMHO, a very relevant direction for those with and those without full MQA capability in their systems.
Very relevant for those with M legacy systems. Hear the difference.
I know what I heard from my non MQA full fat system.
It is my belief that all MQA tracks to date have been encoded by Meridian / MQA and until a "Major" takes up the challenge this is all we can base future decisions on.

Thanks guys, will do.
Hector, yes I don't have MQA decoding yet, I was trying to decide if there's enough material out there yet to warrant the upgrade. Are you saying there's a benefit even if I don't have MQA decoding?
Will my MC200/Sooloos import the MQA files from the 2L site?
Sorry for the ignorant questions, I've been too busy to keep up with MQA!

There are a series of MQA videos here that explain all you need in a measured way. MQA video This is the easiest way to learn all you wish to know. Enjoy, Chris 😎

Does anyone know what the exact difference is between the 'original' and '2016 MQA remastered versions of the Mariane Thorsen Mozart Violin Concertos is on the 2L test bench?
E.g., there are two versions of the MQA and 16/44 file, one original and one 2016 MQA remaster, but what's the difference, what process was used in the newer file? Is it that the mastering engineer was able to listen to the MQA output while mastering in the latter, etc?
Thanks.

Hi 3dit0r, I asked this same question of the 2L website and Morten Lindberg responded with the following: The new edition is a total remix from the original microphone feeds. This new edition will be available along the original edition: Now we have brought out of storage the original analogue-to-digital converters and analyzed their characteristics in light of recent technical development from MQA.
Going back to each individual microphone feed from our archive, Bob Stuart has processed each source to minimize temporal blur and optimize impulse response. From this we have balanced a brand new stereo and rendered a fresh surround sound. I have not closely A-B'ed the two, so I cannot comment on the audible differences. If you are choosing, the 2016 remix sounds like the way to go. Wayne

Wayne,
Thanks that's really informative!
I asked because I was doing some proper A/Bs last night and I found the 2016 MQA remaster to be the best sounding.
It was VERY subtle, though, as I'm still on an 818v2 so can't decode the MQA, but presumably get the small benefit of the recording processing? I suspect also that it's the different master I'm preferring.
This was on ID41 from MC200, for reference.
Would like to do direct comparison with 818v3 and full flavour MQA at some point.
