Thanks for the rebuttal. One question: how do you turn off Swim? I think Roon needs an on line owner's manual.

I finally installed Roon on the QNAP.
The only drawback with Roon (for me) is that the app won't work with my old iPad2.
Theatre Room: Sony 4K VW500ES, 861v8+ID41, HD621, DSP6000's, DSP5000C, DSP5000's, Oppo 205, Sat STB, XBox One X, Stewart Cinemascope Screen, QNAP TVS 1271U-RP (96TB) with Sooloos/Roon core pkg.

I agree that it is a pain that it doesn't work with older iPads or older Samsung tab's, but appreciate the technology issues surrounding them, after all I manage to get Roon working on my current QNAP which doesn't have the required config.
Overall it's a nice user experience, even the wife uses it.
