Do not update to this QNAP firmware version. It is causing issues with the Sooloos application.

Make sure the automatic update is not checked in the QNAP setup. A fix for the new firmware is being worked on. If your QNAP has already updated you will have to manually downgade it.

4.2.1 has been installed on my 451+ since December last year without any issues, so are the problems with particular Sooloos functionality that I may not use?

Seems very strange to only be hearing of this 5+ months after the firmware was released.

I am on 4.2.0 and I had a problem with my C10 etc and storage being offline until the latest build I mentioned above. Perhaps a different issue than the one on 4.2.1 but it just went away for me with the last patch build and I believe the problem came with a prior build update but I am not 100% certain on which one.

I am told not yet. At this point it is being tested and users should stick with the currently working version.

May be it is fixed now.

It is working on my TVS-671. It wasn't working on my TS-569Pro .

I can not check TS-569Pro as it is in a different physical location far away.

Both are QNAP firmware 4.2.1 (20160601).

I tried QTS 4.2.1 on my new TS-453A.

It LOOKS OK, but it abruptly stops every several songs, usually mid track.

Rolled back to 4.2 for now, and the symptoms above have gone, and no other obvious problems have surfaced. My HS-251 that I use for my in-home back up is running QTS 4.2.1 without problems.
