I thought it was a decent review & largely very positive.
What amazed me most is the 808 being around since 2001. Are they really that old? Good grief!
Cinema: Meridian 271, 3 x DSP640 (behind screen), 4 x DSP320 (in-ceiling), 4 x DSP3100 (surrounds), 2 x AC12 (interface). 2 x Perlisten D12s subs, Lyngdorf MP40 processor. DT 145" 2.35 AT screen. Sony VW870 projector & S-T lens, Lumagen Radiance Pro.
Lounge: Roon, NUC, Kef LS50 Wireless + 2 x REL Gibraltar-2 subs

So let me get this right, according to What HiFi if the 808v6 had had "an uncultured approach to music replay" that would have made it a 5-star product...? 
Sooloos, Roon, G series (with LPS upgrade), 800 series (with LPS upgrade), HD621, AC200, Prime and PS, DSPs old and new.

Seriously? Placing even a modicum of store in a What hifi revew?
Main system - Sources (Kodi-HTPC, Vero 4k, FireTV, Sat) into Trinnov Altitude 32 (8-16) (+Roon), Trinnov Amplitude 8 amp & Vivid Audio (Giya G3, V1.5) and REL Stentor III speakers. Others: F80 + Raspberry Pi and other Pi systems.

I think it's perhaps natural for some on here to be a little defensive when a review isn't quite to their liking. We've seen it several times before. I think it's also reasonable to give the reviewers the benefit of the doubt & work on the basis that they might well have heard several of the competing machines as well as the review item. 95% of the review is glowing, after all. Even if WHF is a bit mainstream.
