No problems with the update, activated through Control:PC, restarted C15 on completion and all system components found. This may be because everything is hard wired together.

Looking at the C15 screen or using my iPad, I can't see that anything much has changed with this update, but then that could just be my basic use of the system.

Software update completed successfully (barring some recurring issues related to my MD600 hardware not for this thread).

I am playing the MQA tracks imported from 2L. They show Quality as High Resolution - FLAC 44.1kHz 24 bit.

The release notes state:

• All Client – Added “MQA” as a “Quality”
• Control:PC/MAC – Added support for detecting MQA files on import

Does this suggest that it is necessary to re-import the tracks to get an MQA quality tag?

Received 2.494 update yesterday and so far C15 rebooting issue has not returned, but it was one of those things that was sporadic - anyhow trust it's eliminated now - was a real pain.

That said I am having the usual zone connection problems - the two MS200s came on right away but the MS600 and TwinStore did not. Did my usual rebooting sequence on the TwinStore and eventually after three attempts it came back on line.

So far the MS600 is refusing all attempts to bring it back on line - it cannot be seen as a zone. I have thoroughly checked the physical connections and multiple rebooting of all devices, and updated Control:Mac.

My past experience with similar issues is that it is the TwinStore reboot that jerks the MS600 back into action - not sure why? and on this occasion it remains dormant.

Ps random switching and rebooting finally made the MS600 Spring to life , so all is well now

I am curious what the new feature: "MC200/MC600 – Added Direct Output mode to Digital out" is for if not for MQA compatibility. Also, I cannot find a switch for this feature on any screen, either Sooloos Configure, System Configure, Core Control, Roon, etc. Has anyone found it?

I am using the SpeakerLink output from my MC200. I thought this was always MHR encoded. (though I don't know why I thought that).

My C10 does not work anymore after the update. The Ensemble rund, but the Control:10 fails to complete the update and keeps restarting. Is there anything I can do to fix it? Probably it is too old. Meridan should have prevented this by not letting old systems to update!!!

Try changing the battery - might have done same at next reboot and upgrade was just coincidence.

Where is the battery? It is unlikely in my opinion because it ran before and it still runs just cannot update.

Battery is only used at reboot.

Recent thread about batteries causing Sooloos components not starting.

It's absolutely worth considdering Paul. My problems (re)starting my Ensemble were fixed after installing a new battery. It does take a little effort/skill for the C10 though.

Was the grey M logo next to the Home button on the C15 present previously?

This is mostly probably just me not remembering the UI much as I mostly use Roon these days (which is both great and a pity), but it does look like it could turn into an MQA indicator ...
