Maybe related, Meridian are on the exhibitor's list with two demo rooms at T.H.E. Show Newport Beach on June 3-5.

Such teasers may be OK for selling fridges, but it's beneath products at the level of internal and external design that Meridian inhabit.

Why do Meridian think that such annoying stuff is a good idea? Do they know their market?

Unfortunately quality of marketing seems to have gone down hill across the board, so odd campaigns are not confined to Meridian.

With free exposure available on various channels, being exposed further by social media comments such as this forum, I feel that the need to concentrate ones efforts on one well thought out campaign has been superceeded by experimenting with throw away exposure of questionable quality.

A bit like mail shots, its not the quality of the mailshot, its the hit rate that counts which only comes with more exposure. I am sure Meridian will be pleased that this topic has given them yet more exposure.

Am I the only one looking forward to the Meridian Watch with MQA? The Reference DAC thing is just to throw Apple off the scent.

I guess if Apple/iTunes is slow to adopt MQA attacking one of their other lines might attract attention.

Will they announce the new version of the 861? I don't see what else it could be since we already have the new 8x8 devices. Multi-channel MQA is the only thing still lacking...
