Maybe M would consider either RAAT and enable the wider range of formats or a form of hi-res encapsulation that could utilise MHR in an MQA style to get those higher rates into the M systems.

It would be wishful thinking that Meridian could announce something new at the Munich High-End Show (5th-8th May).
They are represented at the show by Audio Reference.
Not an Actor, nor married to Jamie-Lee Curtis.

I try to remind myself that Software can be updated quicker and easier these days (over the Internet) than the hardware release cycle. I have been listening on my Mac Pro using the RAAT protocol, and I am impressed.
I wonder if Meridian Audio would have to pay to license the RAAT protocol from Roon ?
Competition on hardware endpoints should make Meridian more responsive to requests like this, though right now I honestly think there is a lot more functionality embedded into the USB input than will ever be in the ID41 network stack ... ( DSD, extremely High Res, etc).

Looks like M will have some competition. Though at the same time, a first cousin at the Munich show. Brinkmann Nyquist DAC with DSD, Roon & MQA
Primary: MD600, MS200 (SpeakerLink to AES), Trinnov ST-2, Ayre V6-xe, Salk SS8 3x LRC. Secondary: MC600 (whole house). Zone one: 568.2, G57, MS200, Spatial Hologram M2SE. Zone 2-6 (Awaiting assignment).
