Just added avant-garde pianist Glenn Gould's Columbia albums remaster collection from last year and amazed to find it has 977 tracks on it! Confusingly though they are numbered 0 0 0 1 1 1 1 2 2 2 2 3 3 3 3...........255 255 255.

I'm trying to order them back into the individual discs to make some sense of them as here on AmazonGlenn Gould Remastered etc.... but have noticed that the TIDAL release does not follow anything like the same order.

Anyway, just a few questions...
1. Is this the biggest no. of tracks on one TIDAL album or have you seen something larger?
2. Any ideas why the tracks are numbered as above and not 1 to 977?
3. Can anybody spot what TIDAL have done with the order so I can re-constitute it back into the 81 'discs' without going through all 977 tracks individually?

UPDATE:
Is the 'easiest' thing (still a major job) just to 'renumber' the tracks into the correct order or is there a limit on track numbers (255?) you can have on TIDAL? - Have tried renumbering the 977th song to 256 and am still waiting for the result! - Just got a 'stop running this script'? error which resulted in the edit failing.
