This currently is the maximum brightness that HDR content is being finished to; though potentially it could be brighter still in the future. The DX900 is not – AFAIK - Dolby Vision capable; so it would seem that the answer to your question would be to wait.

The conundrum as far as UHD/4K Television is concerned; is that OLED still produces the better blacks than any LED/LCD TV. But LED/LCD is capable of greater brightness than OLED; so which technology is the better one to exploit HDR is subject to debate.

The new flagship LG Ultra HD 4K OLED TV is the G6.
The G6 supports High Dynamic Range (HDR), more specifically Dolby Vision, and it has a colour space claimed to be 99% of DCI-P3.
The 10-bit panel uses 10-bit processing, includes support for Rec.2020 and is brighter than previous generations of OLED, allowing the new model to be certified as a "Premium UHD display".
What that essentially means is that the G6 can produce over 500 nits of peak brightness.

To be awarded the Ultra HD Premium Logo a TV must be capable of:
a 3840 x 2160 resolution,
10-bit colour depth
a wider colour gamut of at least 90% of DCI-P3.

The certified TVs must also be able to accept the Rec.2020 signal-input interface.
Because LED TVs are brighter, and OLED TVs can deliver vastly superior black levels; a certified TV can either offer a combination of at least 1,000 nits peak brightness and less than 0.05 nits black level or, alternatively, more than 540 nits peak brightness and 0.0005 nits black level.

The content must support:
an image resolution of 3840 x 2160,
a minimum 10-bit colour depth,
Rec.2020 colour representation
high dynamic range.

The Ultra HD Alliance also recommends that mastering displays must be capable of a minimum of 100% of DCI-P3 and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits and a black level of less than 0.03 nits.
