For me, at this time, it's about ensuring that the standards settle so that I know what I'm buying won't be obsolete. My 1 year old 4K Samsung TV is already junk and my Sony 1000es, similarly, although both will display 4K sources with workarounds. So, for now, what I intend to do is use them for as long as I can while waiting for the HDR dust to settle...

And then I will jump in and start to climb the years ahead as we get closer and closer to displays that will deliver full UHD format. How many years will that take, I wonder? laugh
