Well this is an anti-climax...
No joy on my MacBook Pro, Win 7 laptop, or Win 8.1 VM running on my Mac. In all cases, the uploader won't recognise the connected Prime, and with Windows, the drivers won't install as that software can't recognise the Prime either.
:sad: Feel for you VK! Time to get my guitar out, Zero phase delay. Have sent email to Meridian support giving details and expressing frustration. MQA ready? Thanks Soundserge... I bought mine a year ago! Maybe it's too old and knackered to keep up with the timing precision?!

I bought mine slightly more than a year ago also. I reported to Meridian Support earlier with copious detail.

I have it. It sounds amazing (no surprise there) and I'm very happy. No problems with installing.

I've downloaded and seems to be working, Kate Rusby download, plays back with the green light on which appears to be MQA and not MQA studio. Any MQA Studio tracks available?

I was able to load the update on my Explorer2 but no luck with my Prime. The up-loader doesn't see it...

Well I just got lucky. I don't know what I did differently but I plugged and unplugged Prime PS and USB connection to W10 PC again. This time it worked... The up-loader saw it and it worked...

How do you feed content in? USB, Sooloos, Roon-over-IP?
What does the 818 do with MQA if not?

The Kate Rusby MQA album shows "SLS MQA 44" on my display (ie not really high res). Try the 2L test website - these tracks started life as DXD on the whole - but not technically "Studio MQA", as they were recorded some time before the advent of MQA. I think Studio MQA means effectively recorded with MQA compatible equipment and I'm not sure there's much of that around at the moment. The 2L tracks will have had the full MQA treatment post recording (I believe), starting with the best high res master.

Sooloos in my case, Roon also works fine via ID41 or USB 3. Probably upsamples the undecoded MQA to 24/88 (that's what the input on my independent DAC states). I have MHR turned off. 4. I assume downsamples MQA 24/352 to 24/176 as the 818 v3 DAC is rated at that level. (but maybe not, I can't believe that the DAC in the 818v3 is any worse than the DACs in SE speakers and they go much higher)
